Rites of Passage & Life Cycles

Rites of Passage:

I specialise in Rites of Passage and this has particular applications for women in the important moments of life:

  • The joys and unspoken difficult feelings around having babies and small children
  • Post-natal depression
  • Issues and anxieties around menopause
  • How do we feel about giving up our fertility?
  • The “change of life”
  • Painful losses
  • Moving into the next stage of life
  • Empty Nesters. When the kids leave home.
  • Old age

Life Cycles:

I specialise in Life Cycles. This is for everyone, Teenagers, Young People, Men and Women.

These are significant times in our lives that are part of a personal and collective process. They are moments in our lives when we look back on what we have or have not achieved and ponder what lies ahead.

Most of us get anxious, worried, stuck or depressed a particular stage on our life journey. It could be at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 or 70. Often, unconsciously, these thoughts, experiences and feelings arise around a significant birthday, sometimes they begin to occur around a year or two years running up to the birthday and a year or two running down from the birthday.

“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.”

C.G. Jung
